John has a passion for helping his patients to enjoy their fullest potential for a pain-free body, a calm mind, and a life of purpose and vibrancy. He focuses on people who have chronic physical and emotional health issues.

John takes the time to really see his patients and to recognize their needs and concerns. His gentle, professional approach makes the most profound difference between treating symptoms and treating a human being. That is what makes his work worthwhile for him.

He earned a master's degree in acupuncture and a certificate in Chinese herbology from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. He is licensed as an acupuncture physician by the state of Florida. In concert with Oriental medicine, John offers nutritional counseling and lifestyle coaching, providing integrated, whole-person health care.

A native Floridian, John lives in Gainesville with his wife and children. He spends his time with his family, playing, helping with school work, and visiting museums and parks. He also enjoys reading, writing, bicycling, and spending time in nature.
